I am a young up and coming dressage rider from Chester, born in 1985 I started my dressage career working and training with the well respected dressage rider Diane Breeze, there I competed Diane’s grand prix horse Ebe at prix st george as well as FEI young riders, at this time I was also producing my own horse Ushi who I purchased as a 3 year old from unbroken.
During this period I was a successful young rider and was the regional talent spotting finalist 2006 & 2007 winning her regional rounds. and being placed 4th both years, during this period I was also member of the BYDS A squad team as well as completing my British dressage apprenticeship I had the good fortune to train with many leading dressage riders and trainers including Carl Hester, Ferdi Eilberg, Kalman De Jurenak and many others from around the world. In 2008 I moved to High Offley Stud where I competed their dressage horses, as well as continuing the training of my own horse Ushi. In 2008 I also represented Great Britain in the under 25’s at Necarne, Ireland riding my own horse Ushi who I have produced since he was a 3 year old, together we won both the team gold as well as the individual event, High Offley Stud was also represented by another horse High Offley Sienna who was normally competed and trained by myself. As well as a successful riding career Samantha also teaches around the west midlands as well as schooling horses mainly for dressage but she also help some successful show jumping riders and event riders with their flat work. I now run my own yard where I take horses in for training, competition or holiday livery In 2011 I made it to the final of the British Dressage young professionals award where I was placed runner up. |
